Twisted Tuesday Challenge #57-Pink as All Outdoors!

Hey Everyone!

OH.EM.GEEE!  Has it EVER been a crazy busy but fun week!  Unfortunately not too much time for crafting.  WAHHHHH!  I managed to squeeze out one layout but that's about it.  I inherited an extra couple of children for a few days so my days have been non stop!  The weather has been seriously co-operative and I just can't bear to not partake in it's wonder.  Bike rides, amusement parks, trips to the local conservation area, playing in the backyard.  Non. Stop. Fun!
It's hard to think of inside fun when the outside fun is beckoning your undivided attention but the time has come for another Twisted Tuesday Challenge and I just had to make sure I put something together to help give the inside fun an edge :)

This fortnight challenge is as follows:

The Challenge: Use the colour PINK.
The Twist: Show some outdoor stuff.

(*drum roll*)
And the grey matter says.......
The butterfly stamps are from Inkadinkado, the frame stamp is from Fancy Pants.  The ticket stamp is from Autumn Leaves as is the date circle with the bird.  The title letters and branches and bird are die cut from Quickutz dies.  The corner flourish stamps is from Prima.
The pink is in the clothes and the striped paper.  The outdoors is the photo locale, butterflies, branches and birds. Love my cutie pie girlies in these photos.

So there you have it!  Please drop by Twisted Tuesday Challenges for all the details and a chance to win some sweet swag!

Don't forget to linky up and join in all the fun!  I hope I've inspired you and I can't wait to see what you've created!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ready...Set...Get Scrappy!!!

Hey Everyone!

Time for the first challenge of 123GetScrappy to begin!  Be sure to head over to the blog so you can check out all the awesome creative options we've given you as well as all the wonderful creations the rest of the design team have come up with to inspire!

Here's what my grey matter come up with!
The mosaic tiles are foam stamps from Making Memories as are the brads within them and the paint used to stamp them!  The date stamp is from Hero Arts and the paper is from CTMH.
Using the diagonal of the bingo board I used PAINT-*FREE*-BRADS (the free space was stamps and buttons).
I made a double page layout of my girlies playing with the garden hose and the sprayer set to mist.  Good times!

I love the texture paint adds to a layout!

Be sure to head on over to the new awesome challenge blog: 123GetScrappy to join in all the fun!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Triangles!

Hey Everyone!

Holy moly trend alert!  Hexagons were so last season! ;)  I think the new thing this season is triangles!  They're popping up in many stamps and designs around town and online and it's definately is all the rage!  The folks over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge have used this idea for this weeks challenge.  Here is my creation:
The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug, the triangle banners are from a Jenni Bowlin/Fiskars punch, the sentiment is Technique Tuesday and the background newprint stamp is from Hero Arts.  The snowflakes are stamps from Martha Stewart.
So I've got Christmas on the brain (already) but you can never start tooo early for Christmas card creating!

Thanks for stopping by!

Twisted Tuesday Challenges #56: Christmas in August...

Hey Everyone!

AUGUST ALREADY!?!  Yikes!  Slow down summer!  There is still sooooo much to do!  Currently, I'm spending the week hanging with my BFF in New Jersey!  Today we went to the Jersey Shore!  The weather was awesome and the waves were steady and the water was COLD!!  I didn't stay in for very long but C1 spent the whole afternoon splashing in the surf and having a great time!  C2 and C3 had lots of fun playing in the sand with 'they boys' (my BFF's sons).  Despite my continuing shoulder issues  it was a wonderful day!

On the creative front!  It's new challenge day over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges!  Yaaaaaaaaay!
It's Challenge #56: A Simple Christmas in August.

This fortnight here is the scoop:
The challenge: Make a Christmas Themed project
The Twist: make it CAS (Clean and Simple)

Now I've been trying my hand at CAS for cards with success but CAS on a scrapbook layout is another beast to tackle.  Soooooo much I want to say and add and dress up and embellish and...(well you get the point!).  There's just so much room on a scrapbook layout that making it CAS was a bigger challenge than I thought!  When I finally came up with a concept, the final product was no more than a photo, 1 sheet of patterned paper, washi tape and a stamp embossed in gold.  Easy peasy!

Patterned paper is from MME, the washi tape is from Recollections and the frame stamp is from Fancy Pants.

This is me putting the finishing touches on our Christmas Tree a couple years back.  The photo makes the photo look very red.  It's not really that red in person.  All the twinkle and soft lights make me long for this time of year again....but not tooo fast!

I hope I've been able to inspire you and I hope to see you over at the Twisted Tuesday Challenge blog! I can't wait to see what you've created!
