Twisted Tuesday Challenge #79-Red/White and Blue...with Stars

Hey Everyone,

A little late with this post.  Total cray-cray here with last week of school and family from Italy here for a visit!  We've been taking them on the whirlwind adventure of tourist attractions and enjoying every minute of it...but boy is it ever tiring and time consuming!  Anyways,  the folks over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges have a new challenge up and running and you still have time to join in all the fun!
The Challenge: Use the colours RED, WHITE AND BLUE in your creation.
The Twist: Use stars in your creation as well!

Here's my take:

I had a lot of fun reminiscing about this one when it dawned on me that Canada Day is just around the corner which means another "cottage" outing is upon us!  Here's hoping the weather is awesome!

Don't forget to check in on the other Twisted Tuesday Challenges DT members and give them some love!  I can't wait to see what you create!

I'd also like to submit this to the following challenges:

123 Get Scrappy Challenge #11

DOUBLE POST TODAY!!!
FOR Twisted Tuesday Challenges POST click HERE!

Hey Everyone,

Can't believe it's June already.  My teacher friends have been counting down and apparently there is only 13 days left of school!  Unbelievable!  My oldest will be having her first "double digit" birthday next week!

Been a crazy few weeks around here.  Summer has finally arrived and it's been beautiful.  Sunny, warm, breezy, and not too humid.  Love it!

Another board is up and running over at 123 Get Scrappy.

Pretty exciting!  Here's my take!

Paper: My Mind's Eye, K and Co.; birdcage die: Tim Holtz/Sizzix; butterfly and flying bird punch: Martha Stewart; date stamp: Hero Arts;corrugated letters: Jilly bean Soup; pink letters: Making Memories

The burlap I used for the bird cage was laminated on one side which made for easy die cutting and gave it a nice stiffness.  It curved on it's own and I added some pop dots in the centre to ensure it stays curved.  Love the texture the burlap adds.

Here is this month's inspiration board!  I used the middle row: Woodgrain: Brads: Bird Cage

I used the colour scheme and twist over at Color Me Scrappy: Challenge #63

Be sure to check out all the details and some more inspiration from the DT over at 123 Get Scrappy!

Can't wait to see your creations!

Challenge #77 - Bunch of Spotted Animals

DOUBLE POST TODAY!!!
FOR 123 GET SCRAPPY POST click HERE!

Hey Blog world!

Yikes it's been a while!  Waaaaayyy too long...gotta hate when life gets in the way of the fun, crafty stuff...(and then pulls a fast one on ya and before you know it almost a month has gone by!!!)

I'm back with another challenge over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges!  Sooo excited to get back into the crafty mode.

Challenge #77:
Challenge: Use at least 2 animals on your creation.
The Twist: Use spots or polka dots on your creation.

Here's my take!
image stamp: The Greeting Farm, Penny Black; sentiment: Simon Says Stamp; embossing folder: Cuttlebug; pattern paper: DCWV; doily: Recollections; markers: Copics

This card will be for my sister.  Her birthday is coming up next month and this image is soooo totally her.  The girl looks like her and my sis has a chihuahua as well.  I added the houndstooth pattern on the top I added with her in mind as well as she seems to have a fondness for this.

Be sure to check out the other design team projects for inspiration and I hope to see your creations over at Twisted Tuesday!  A Guest Designer position is up for grabs so be sure to linky up!

My card layout was inspired by the sketch over at Cardabilities #100

I would also like to submit this to the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by!
